PURPOSE: A copolymerized polyester resin is provided, which is improved in the flexibility and is suitable for the sheet for decorative laminates, packing paper and plywood. CONSTITUTION: The copolymerized polyester resin comprises an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component as an acid repeating unit; 55-85 mol% of ethylene glycol unit and 15-45 mol% of one or more of poly(ethylene glycol) units represented by the formula: HO-(CH2CH2O)m-H based on the total weight of diol components as a diol repeating unit, wherein m is 2, 3 or 4; optionally 3-20 wt% of one or more of dyes or pigments based on the total weight of resin; and optionally one or more of inorganic or organic particles selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina, calcium carbonate, polycarbonate and poly(metal methacrylate). The limiting viscosity in o-chlorophenol of the resin is 0.5-2.0 dl/g. Preferably the pigment is selected from titanium dioxide, barium sulfate, carbon black, iron oxide, metal complex, chromate pigment, azo pigment, quinacridone, pigment lake and their mixtures; and the dye is selected from monoazo dye, disazo dye, anthraquinone, vat dye, mordant dye and their mixtures.
