APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY TURNING SLAB IN CONTINUOUS CASTING LINE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically turning a slab in a continuous casting line is provided to prevent the life cycle shortening and loud noise generation of a facility and the surface damage of a strip product by effectively preventing generation of impact by a strip in the process of turning the strip upside down during production of a product having various thickness in the continuous casting line, and prevent rise of the maintenance cost by simplifying the structure of the apparatus. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for automatically turning a slab in a continuous casting line used for turning the strip product upside down when a strip product is produced in the continuous casting line, the apparatus comprises a plurality of turning beams (5) at both sides of which concave strip inserting parts (213) are formed; a motor for rotating the turning beams (5); clamping arms (10) each of which are rotationally mounted on one side of the strip inserting parts (213) of the turning beams (5); and a plurality of buffing cylinders (40) each of which are mounted on the rear up and down sides of the clamping arms (10) for supporting and buffing the rotation of the clamping arms (10) at the rear side so that the clamping and opening of a strip are performed inside the strip inserting parts (213) by its own weight during turning of a slab strip.
