FIELD EMISSION DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A field emission display and method for manufacturing the same are provided to constantly maintain the uniformity of electrons emitted from microtips by doubly-controlling current applied to a cathode electrode. CONSTITUTION: In a field emission display, a cathode electrode(42) is formed on a glass substrate(40) for a pattern to be cut in a bus line area for transmitting an electric signal applied to a device. A resistor layer(43) is formed on the abscised area and the cathode electrode to be formed as a pixel as to connect the cut cathode electrode. A gate insulating layer(44) and a gate electrode(46) are formed sequentially so that a gate hole is patterned on the cathode electrode including the resistor layer. A microtip(48) is formed in the gate hole.
