PURPOSE: Provided is a method for recycling heavy metal contained bottom ash from municipal incinerators as construction materials where bottom ash containing heavy metals is blended with polymer/resin for the solidification of bottom ash, accordingly soil/underground water contamination caused by heavy metal elution from bottom ash is effectively prevented. CONSTITUTION: According to one embodiment of the present invention, heavy metal contained bottom ash is recycled as construction aggregate by dry blending cement, blending compound, and bottom ash at a blending ratio of 0.25-1.0 : 0.25-1.0 : 1.0; adding 5-10wt.% of polymer emulsion (based on the weight of cement in the first step) and then kneading for 5min; molding the dough in a rotating globular mold as spraying a mixture of cement and polymer; curing the molded ash for about 1 day; coating the outer surface of the molded ash with polymer; and then curing for a period of time. |
