PURPOSE: A cap assembly of a square-shaped secondary battery is provided which completely removes an electrolytic solution gas pressure generated from an initial charge of a transforming process of the battery and provides an ultra-thin square-shaped secondary battery. CONSTITUTION: The cap assembly of a square-shaped secondary battery which seals the top side opening part of a square-shaped can(4) receiving an electrode group(2) that winds an anode, a cathode and a separator, comprises: (i) a gas outlet(6c) which is formed on certain part of the cap plate; (ii) a rubber(20) which closes the gas outlet(6c); (iii) a suction pipe(22) which supports the rubber(20); and (iv) an insulating plate(30).
