PURPOSE: An IC(Integrated Circuit) socket is provided to reduce cost for testing by alternating a contact pin of a socket with the block unit easily and to improve dependence of testing by installing a contact pin and a contact pin pressing instrument for connecting a lid of an IC package and the contact pin of the socket. CONSTITUTION: The IC socket includes a socket body(150), a cover(100), a pressing tool(170), and a contact pin block(180). The contact pin block(180) is installed in the socket body(150) in order that many contact pins are installed and alternated with the block unit and many slots and grooves are formed on the upper face of the socket body(150). The cover(100) with many slots is installed on the upper portion of the socket body(150). An elastic object is installed between the cover(100) and the socket body(150) and forms the space between the cover(100) and the socket body(150) and the pressing tool(170) made of insulating material is installed in the space. |
