METHOD OF CONTROLLING AC POWER SUPPLY AND DEVICE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A method of controlling an AC power source voltage and a device thereof are provided to reduce the power on the side of load freely while keeping the switching noise at the minimum. CONSTITUTION: In the method of controlling an AC power source voltage, a 2n+1 half-waveform of the source voltage becomes a period(T). A preset sequential half-waveform element(5th) within the one period is filtered, and thus the power delivered to the load is reduced by the filtered amount. In the device of controlling an AC power source voltage, a switching unit(14) comes between the ac power source(12) and the load(16). A power supply(18) supplies a DC power source voltage based on the input AC power source voltage from the AC power source(12). A synchronized pulse generator(20) produces a pulse synchronized with the half-waveform of the AC power source voltage from the AC power source(12). A counter(22) repeats 2N+1 times of counting to determine one period based on the synchronized pulse.
