PURPOSE: A method for maintaining network security through a directory based integral management is provided to perform an integral management for a network by using a directory. Therefore, it is possible to maintain security of the network. CONSTITUTION: A directory server(112) adds addition/deletion/comparison/change functions to a directory in order to perform an integral management for a network. The directory server(112) receives security information inputted to the directory from a manager, and transmits the security information to each router(12) constructing the network in real time. The each router(12) performs the integral management for communication according to a security rule, and maintains entire security.
