PRODUCTION METHOD OF POLYETHER ESTER MONOMER AND CEMENT DISPERSANT

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for producing a high-quality polyether ester monomer in the absence of a solvent. And a cement dispersant is also provided, which consists of a water-soluble vinyl copolymer produced by using the same, as an intermediate material. CONSTITUTION: The polyether ester monomer is produced by subjecting a one-terminal-substituted polyalkylene glycol of the formula(1) and an unsaturated carboxylic acid of the formula(2) to esterification in the absence of a solvent and in the presence of 0.03-0.5 wt.%(based on the polyalkylene glycol) p-benzoquinone and/or phenothiazine under heating and reduced pressure by using an acid catalyst. Thus, produced polyester ester monomer of the formula(3) is used as an intermediate material for producing water-soluble vinyl monomer as a cement dispersant.
