The invention relates to an oral solution with a synergistic action of chlorhexidine and phenoxyethanol in appropriate proportions, which gives very good antimicrobial results and in parallel reduces the undesired effects of chlorhexidine. The formula has an acceptable taste and is effective, as demonstrated by microbiological laboratory tests. The low chlorhexidine content of 0.0125% in the product and the synergistic action of phenoxyethanol 0.55%, with the supporting function of xylitol used as a sweetener in a proportion of 15% to protect the teeth from caries, result in masking the bitter taste, avoiding tooth discoloration even after daily use, and reducing the proportion of ethyl alcohol. |
