The arrangement has a thin flexible bearer structure, e.g. a plastic foil, in the seat directly beneath the seat cover extending over the whole seat surface and accurately fitting the seat contour, pressure sensors arranged so their data pattern represents the seat occupancy type and magnitude, flat data memories and transponders and an autonomous voltage source. The components in the bearer structure are connected together by conducting tracks.
