The invented automatic balancing device (4) for rotary units or systems comprises an annular outer race track (11) disposed in an annular housing being arranged concentric with and attachable to the rotary system so as to rotate with the rotary system, and a plurality of roller bodies (8) being disposed in the annular housing and moving freely along the annular race track (11) for dynamic and/or static contact therewith during rotation of the rotary unit or system. The outer race track (11) is secured in a separate ring (10) of a large diameter having a torus-shaped groove forming the race track (11) and having a curved concave profile facing the center of the separate ring (10), whereby said ring is fixedly inserted in a portion of said housing, performed as a seat (9) for the contact surface of the ring (10). The seat (9) is arranged to stiffen the separate ring (10) for permitting the ring (10) to maintain the its circular form in spite of forces acting upon the ring during operation, whereby said torus-shaped groove is positioned concentric with the axis (A) of the rotary system. |
