The invention relates to a corotron for electrographic processes, in particular in a printer or copier. Said corotron has a corotron wire (48) secured into a fixing element (14a, 14b) and a support material (20) for a latent image, which is guided by support elements (54). The corotron wire (48) is aligned in relation to the support material (20) by the positioning of the fixing element (14a, 14b) on the support elements. The invention also relates to an assembly (12a, 12b), in which the influence of the support material (20) charge is reduced by inhomogeneous electric fields of high-voltage power units (22a, 22b). The invention further relates to a corotron assembly (14a, 14b), in which the corotron wire (48) can be replaced in a simple manner by means of a fixing element (74) and to a fixing element (74) of this type.
