The lining consists of at least two sections(2,3) which are exclusively joined together by a snap-in connection formed by at least two wedge-shaped protrusions(7) on the first section and on the other section at least two spring plates(6) with window-form openings. A guide component(11) is provided between the plates and protrusions. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for fitting a lining component in which the first section is fitted to the body of the vehicle and the second section joined to it by the snap-in connection.
