摘要 A device for discharging charges from a capacitor 1b of a power system includes a discharge loop 20 electrically connected to the capacitor 1b for providing a discharging passageway for the charges to be safely discharged therethrough, and a control loop 30 electrically connected to the capacitor 1b for actuating the discharge loop 20 to discharge at the moment when the power system is suddenly powered off. Charge stored in capacitor 1b can be quickly discharged when the power is switched off or when the power module (22, fig 2) is disconnected from the system. When the power system is powered on, the discharge loop 20 and the control circuit 30 are short-circuited. When the power system is off or when the power module is disconnected, capacitor 1b starts to discharge. Current will flow through resistor 15 and generate a voltage drop at gate terminal G. FET 11 is opened and current is discharged to ground through resistors 18 and 19. Reduces risk of electric shook when power module is extracted from the system.
