PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a vortex flowmeter with a simple structure allowing correction of a nonlinear characteristic. SOLUTION: This vortex flowmeter measures a generation frequency of a regular Karman vortex generated behind a vortex generator inserted in a fluid to measure a flow rate of the fluid. The vortex flowmeter is provided with a piezoelectric element detecting the Karman vortex; a detection means detecting and binarizing the generation frequency of the vortex detected by the piezoelectric element; a frequency/voltage converter converting output of a frequency signal of the signal processing circuit into a voltage signal; and a liner correction circuit having an inverse input/output characteristic to the nonlinear characteristic between the generation frequency and a flow velocity of the fluid, correcting the voltage signal.
