PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally clamp the output value of filtered image data prepared by mapping a discrete sample value. SOLUTION: A maximum sample value and a minimum sample value are decided about a plurality of input discrete sample values used for an operation of a discrete sample value for every discrete sample value of mapping, and the output value of the discrete sample value is clamped in the domain of the plurality of input discrete sample values by using the maximum and minimum sample values. The output value depends on a plurality of attributes of the plurality of input discrete sample values.
