PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message relay system in which it is not necessary to change any program, even when the changes in message format or changes in destination of the transmission of a message is generated. SOLUTION: An adapter executing server 107 converts a message from a task client 101 or a task server 102 to a common message, stores it in a message managing server 104, and converts the common message into the message format of the task client 101 or the task server 102, and transmits it. A routing information managing server 105 designates a server 107 or a flow control executing server 108 connected with the task server 102 for operating processing related with the common message according to routing information in response to a request from the server 107 or the flow control executing server 108 connected with the client 101, and the server 108 successively designates the server 107 connected with the task server 102 for operating processing related with the common message based on the message flow definition by inquiring the routing information managing server.
