PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a peak generated in linkage with the start of spaced cylinders. SOLUTION: A system is provided for impeding the rotation of a drive line 30 at the moment of linkage with engine starting pulse from an engine 20 in driving the drive line 30 to reduce a torque peak. In one system, a control part 24 monitors the rotation of a drive shaft 21 and instructs the point of time when the engine starting pulse is generated. The control part 24 selectively closes switches for input to a coil 34 so that the coil 34 impedes the rotation of the drive line 30 and generates electricity for use at any place. In a second embodiment, peripherally spaced magnets are mounted to the drive line 30, and the coil 34 is moved to pass through in a selected peripheral position. The coil 34 impedes the torque peak, resisting the rotation of a shaft 21. These embodiments reduce or eliminate unbalance in the rotation of the shaft 21 based on the engine starting pulse.
