PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel composition having a high density and sufficiently low pour point and capable of being used even in a cold district and giving a high power output as a fuel oil for diesel engines. SOLUTION: This fuel oil comprises a light oil base material containing <=15 wt.% of a normal paraffin ingredients, <=1.2 wt.% of a >20C normal paraffin ingredients and <=0.15 wt.% sulfur content.
