PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a back flow through a drain pipe by sliding an auxiliary gate and closing a discharge opening for the drain pipe, when a foreign matter is bitten into a flap gate installed in discharge opening for the auxiliary gate. SOLUTION: In this gate 1 for a pump, the slide type auxiliary gate 7 is mounted on the discharge opening 6b side of the drain pipe 6 facing the downstream side 2b of a gate 1a, while the discharge opening 7a is formed to a part of the auxiliary gate 7, the flap gate 8 opening and closing the discharge opening 7a for the auxiliary gate 7 is set up to the auxiliary gate 7, and the discharge opening 7a for the auxiliary gate 7 is made to correspond to the discharge opening 6b for the drain pipe 6 at a fixed position.
