PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the breakage of a yarn by the application of tension to the yarn in the knotting work with a knotter and, accordingly, increase the success ratio of yarn ending work by stopping the suction flow in a winder-side sucking member sucking and holding the winder-side yarn before the knotting work with the knotter. SOLUTION: The knotting method for a spinning frame comprises the supply of a yarn continuously spun from a spinning part 2 into a knotter 11 by sucking and holding the yarn with a spinning frame-side sucking member 12, the supply of the winder-side yarn into the knotter with a winder-side suction member 13 to suck and hold the yarn delivered from a package 7 and the stop of the suction flow in the winder-side suction member sucking and holding the winder- side yarn before the knotting operation with the knotter.
