PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dyeing auxiliary for polyester-based textile fibers, intended for resolving such problems involved in dyeing process as unevennesses in dyeing, hue's getting dull, deep color's getting light and dye flocculation, each tending to occur in high-temperature relaxation process and/or alkali treatment such as caustic reduction process and also such problems as decline in color fastness and dyeing bath contamination. SOLUTION: This dyeing auxiliary for polyester-based textile fibers comprises as active ingredient at least one kind selected from the group consisting of phosphonic acid-based chelating agents, phosphonate salt-based chelating agents, polycarboxylic acid-based chelating agents and polycarboxylate salt-based chelating agents, and is intended for diminishing the adverse effects on dyeing due to polyester decomposition product(s) formed from polyester fibers.
