PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indoor unit for an air conditioner capable of reducing a cost by effectively treating a drain, preventing a dew formation to assure comfortable air conditioning and simplifying manufacturing and assembling. SOLUTION: The indoor unit for the air conditioner comprises a unit body 1 having suction ports 2a, 2d and an air outlet 20 and constituted of a front panel 2 and a rear plate 3, a heat exchanger 7 formed in an inverted V shape as seen from the side and having a front side heat exchanger 7A and a rear side heat exchanger 7B, and a blower 11 for sucking indoor air from the suction ports, distributing the air to the exchanger, heat exchanging and then supplying the air from the outlet through an air supply passage 18. The indoor unit further comprises a front drain pan 9A and a rear drain pan 9B respectively disposed at the lower parts of the front and rear side heat exchangers, and left and right troughs 17A, 17B disposed at the inside of the passage and installed over the front and rear pans to distribute to guide the drain collected to the rear pan to the front pan. |
