PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute image processing by reading originals, where various kinds of sized coexist in an original reading mechanism using a sheet through document feeder. SOLUTION: All originals are read in an unmagnified state and original size information is stored in a memory module 222 with image data on the read original. Size information is extracted from the module 222, to calculate a variable power rate based on the size information. After the variable power rate is calculated, the variable power rate is set to a image-processing processor 204 to execute data supplementation of image data, to execute variable magnification processing electrically. In the case of reduction by 50% in the main and sub directions, e.g. pixels are resampled by every other pixel in the respective directions. In the case of magnification by 200% in the main and sub directions, the pixels are resampled by 1/2 pitch of a pixel interval in the respective directions.
