PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cooking program from being advanced while the door of a heating chamber is in an opened state. SOLUTION: In a cooking control method, the cooking operation by means of high-frequency heating equipment is provided with a door switch 31 installed to the energizing path to an operating heater, in such a way that the switch 31 is turned off or on when the door which opens or closes the heating chamber is opened or closed, and a door opening/closure detecting circuit 4 which detects the ON/OFF of the switch 31 is controlled by discriminating whether the door is opened or closed based on the value at the output terminal 1-b of the detecting circuit 4. The cooking program is advanced by discriminating that the door is in a 'closed state' upon detecting the variation of the preset output of the detecting circuit 4.
