PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a conductive macromolecular composition, having superior self-recovering function for the defective portion of an anodic oxidation film and the precursor thereof and obtain easily a solid electrolytic capacitor having a high with standing voltage by using the conductive macromolecular composition as its cathodic conductive layer. SOLUTION: A liquid precursor of a conductive macromolecular composition is prepared from a dispersion medium and a soluble conductive macromolecule or out of a dispersion medium, conductive macromolecular grains, and one kind selected from among phosphoric acid, phosphoric ester, a phenol, a phenol derivative having electron withdrawing substituent, and a nitrobenzene derivative. Further, when removing the liquid medium from the liquid precursor, the conductive macromolecular composition having a high dielectric-film recovering ability can be obtained. Also, by forming the conductive macromolecular composition on the electrode made of a valve metal having the dielectric film, a solid electrolytic capacitor which has high withstanding voltage can be obtained.
