PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can perform smoothing by pattern matching irrespective of the type of resolution and can make processing different in resolution in common, at resolution-converting of the input images of the plural types of resolutions by adjusting them to the resolution of an output side. SOLUTION: An input image classification part 11 sets an a×b pixel block to be a noticed pixel, irrespective of resolution and outputs the noticed pixel and peripheral pixel information to an output pattern generating part 13 by referring to an image classification LUT 12. The substitution basic pattern of the pixel block, where p×q-pieces of reference pixels D2 of the output side are arranged, is stored in a substitution basic pattern storage LUT 14. The output pattern generation part 13 reads the necessary number of required substitution basic patterns from the LUT 14, based on the pixel of attention, peripheral pixel information and input resolution information from the input image classification part 11 and substitutes the pixel of attention for the combined image pattern. |
