PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically store a monitor display part in an interphone system in the end of use by widening the range of an optimal view angle on the moni tor display part and automatically judging the height of a user or controlling a view angle, without making the thickness of the structure of a base unit large. SOLUTION: A monitor shaft 24 is provided at a position eccentric from the central position of a monitor display part 23. Thus, even when a storage depth L2 is made equal to a conventional storage depth L1, an inclined angleθ2 of the monitor display part 23 can be made greater than a conventional inclined angleθ1. According by, the view angle range can be controlled wide even without thickening a base unit 21. Further, the height or voice of the user is detected and the monitor display part can be controlled automatically into inclined angle optimal for the user. Then the angle can be controlled just by touching the system with a finger or lock is enabled at an optimal position as well.
