PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable to photograph only when grids are loaded in a prescribed direction. SOLUTION: A grid body 6 comprises a handle 21, a grid body 31, a grid holding section 32 and fixing members 33. The grid body 31 is fixed to the frame-like grid holding section 32 by means of the fixing members 33. Further, a convex projection 34 is formed at the right side end of the surface of the grid holding section 32 facing the handle 21. A switch mounting plate 36 having such a microswitch 35 which fits to the projection 34 is disposed in a radiation photographic section 3. The output of this microswitch 35 is connected through a lead wire 37 to a grid front and rear discriminating circuit 38 such that the photographing is permitted only when the grid unit 6 is mounted at a normal position.
