PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic head slider in which slider behavior can be stabilized even in a near contact state where a slider is in intermittent contact with a magnetic disk surface, for the purpose of revising a conventional slider design that requires complete levitating of a slider and also dealing with further reduction in the levitation height. SOLUTION: A relation ofθ1×θ2<0 holds between a skew angleθ1 which is an angle formed by the center line 101 of a slider 10 and a track tangential direction 121 (assuming that a case is positive where the air flow-in end 141 is inclined to the inner circumferential side of a magnetic disk 12 rather than to the air flow-out end 142) and a roll angleθ2 which is an inclination caused by a different between levitating heights hi, ho on the inner and the outer circumferential side respectively of the slider 10 (assuming that a case is positive where the levitating height hi is larger than ho).
