PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the width of a peripheral circuit board having a microstrip line structure sufficiently securable even in a narrow space. SOLUTION: The peripheral circuit board 11 which is constituted in a microstrip line structure that supplies a drive signal to an optical semiconductor chip 13 arranged between two optical parts (lenses) 16 and 17, in such a way that the chip can receive light through the lens 16 and can emit light through the other lens 17 is supported in a state where the board 11 is mounted on a stem 12, so that the surface of the board 11 may become perpendicular to the optical axes of the incident light and exit light and the chip 13 is mounted on the end face of the board 11. Since the chip 13 is not restricted by the interval S between the lenses 16 and 17, the width of the board 11 can be expanded and a microstrip line can be constituted favorably. |
