BROADCASTING SYSTEM BASED ON MULTICAST

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify system construction and extension to flexibly change and add functions by realizing a system where a voice is broadcast in a general IP network environment. SOLUTION: Subscriber terminals 1-10 are connected to telephone sets 1-11 and converts a telephone number and an analog voice signal sent from this telephone set to packet data and transmits this data onto an IP network with a gate keeper 1-20 as the transmission destination, and the gate keeper calculates the IP address of a multicast server 1-30 from the telephone number for broadcasting included in packet data transmitted from the subscriber terminal equipment and transmits the packet which is transmitted from the subscriber terminal equipment and includes the telephone number for broadcasting and voice data to the IP address of the multicast server, and the multicast server calculates a corresponding multicast IP address from the telephone number for broadcasting included in the received packet and delivers the received voice packet to this multicast IP address.
