<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a proximity switch that is shielded, but having a prolonged detection distance like a non-shielded type. SOLUTION: The detection head 8 is to detect the approach of an object by detecting the change of a magnetic flux caused by it, shielded by covering the circumference of detection head 8 with a metal case 2, which includes a metal parts 13 for guiding then magnetic flux in the direction (shown in the figure) of detecting the object. The metal parts 13 further comprises a cylindrical portion 13A interposed between the inside 2a of the metal case 2 and the periphery 8a of the detection head 8, and flange portion 13B to cover the front end face of the metal case 2.</p> |
