PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless receiver that uses an adaptive array antenna to conduct calibration without deteriorating speech quality and to provide its calibration method. SOLUTION: The wireless receiver that uses an array antenna consisting of a plurality of antennas and uses a known calibration signal to obtain a correction quantity, is provided with a diversity reception means that receives a reception output of the antennas, applies diversity processing to the received signal and provides an output, a diversity reception quality monitor means that monitors the reception quality of the diversity reception, and an array reception quality monitor means that monitors the reception quality of the array antenna reception. The wireless receiver calibrates the array reception section while conducting diversity reception when the reception quality of the diversity reception is equal to the reception quality of the array antenna reception to obtain correction amounts for amplitude fluctuation and a phase shift of the array reception section. |
