<p>This invention provides a heating apparatus (18) for a mattress defining a cavitiy, the hollow body having a wall and an inlet provided in the wall to the cavity. The heating apparatus (18) comprises a housing (20) having an air inlet (22), an air outlet (24), and a passage (26) extending from the inlet (22) to the outlet (24); a heating element (28) disposed in the passage (26); a fan (30) for moving air form the inlet (22) along the passage (26), over the heating element (28) and out via the outlet (24); and connecting means (34) for releasably connecting the housing (20) to the mattress, the arrangement being such that the outlet (24) of the housing (20) is disposed in the region of the inlet to the cavity.</p> |
