The method employs a folded flat material (1) with an upper (2) and a lower surface (3), which is placed with the folded edge next to the excrement (4) or similar and pushed and moved under it. During this process, the upper surface executes an additional movement in direction of the folded edge. The speed (Vo) of the upper surface is lower than the speed (V) of a drive element (5). The flat material is pref. drawn off a roll.
