The semi-closed hydraulic circuit is for control of a user unit, particularly a differential cylinder (1), with a pump (2) for supply of the user unit with pressure medium, an after-suction device (28) for pressure medium from a tank (T) in the circuit and a brake valve (18) for throttling pressure medium flow between the user unit and the pump. A valve body (20) of the brake valve is activated in the opening direction by the inflow pressure to the user unit and an outlet connection of the brake valve is connected via an outlet conduit (24) with the suction side of the pump.
