PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the verification of appropriateness at the time when the magnetic certifying inspection is performed with the jumping track pitch. SOLUTION: In the defect inspection such that the throughput is improved by performing the certifying inspection with the jumping track pitch (refer to process 3) after the extensive defect is inspected at the process 1 and harmful protrusion, etc., are inspected at the process 2, a rate of erroneous discrimination as normal and a rate of erroneous discrimination as defective are calculated (refer to process 4) as the index how much the omission of test or the decrease of normal goods are generated as compared with the case of inspecitng all the tracks, so as to allow the checking whether the jumping inspection is appropriate or not.
