PURPOSE: An optical circulator is provided to form an optical circulator having a function of an optical isolator by using a reflective element and a multitude of double refraction element. CONSTITUTION: The first double refraction element portion(330) has the second double refraction element(331) and the third double refraction element(332) which are arranged to an optical axis direction of 45 degrees and -45 degrees to the first double refraction element(310). The second double refraction element portion(340) has the fourth double refraction element(341) and the fifth double refraction element(342). A reflective element(300) is formed with a prism having a predetermined slot. A polarized rotator(320) is formed with a Faraday rotator including a permanent magnet and a crystal such as a yttrium ion garnet. The polarized rotator(320) is used for rotating an incident ray as much as 45 degrees according to a polarizing direction.
