<p>Non-toxic carcinostatic extract from dead or decayed matter e.g. old human bones or lower organisms such as worms or from the digestive system of fish like plaice or barbel having (1) a glycoproteide character with positive biuret-, Molisch, Elson-Morgan and other reactions; (2) mw 10,000; (3) colloidal solubility in H2O if freshly made, forming a ppt. on standing exposed to the atmosphere at room-temp. (4) being c capable of precipitation from conc aqs. soln by MeOH, (5) being chromatographically pure on Whatman No. 2. paper.</p> |
