A method of strengthening the taste of sodium chloride in drinks or foods characterized by adding a peptide, which is prepared by hydrolyzing and deamidating an acidic peptide or a protein, to drinks or foods containing sodium chloride; an agent for strengthening the taste of sodium chloride whi ch contains the above peptide as the active ingredient; a sodium chloride-taste seasoning which contains the above peptide and sodium chloride; and drinks o r foods containing drinks or foods containing the above-described agent for strengthening the taste of sodium chloride or the above-described sodium chloride-taste seasoning.
