METHOD FOR TREATING SILVER OF SILICON RUBBER MATERIAL USING ACRYLIC ACID PLASMA

PURPOSE: A method for treating silver on the surface of silicone rubber material by using acrylic acid plasma and a product produced by using the method are provided, to reduce the adhesion of surface, to improve the hydrophilicity of surface and to allow the surface to be antibacterial. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of extruding, printing, punching and washing a silicone rubber material; adding the silicone rubber material to a plasma reactor; treating the silicone rubber material with an acrylic acid plasma to introduce -COOH group to the surface; dipping the surface-treated one into 0.1N AgNO3 aqueous solution for 10 min or more to treat the surface with silver; and washing the surface-treated one with water. The acrylic acid plasma is generated by the electrical discharge with the power of 20-40 W with injecting acrylic acid by the flow rate of 0.7-2.5 SCCM.
