PURPOSE: A hermetic compressor is provided to reduce parts count and improve welding workability, while minimizing poor air-tightness. CONSTITUTION: A hermetic compressor comprises a casing(11) having a closed space formed in the casing, and a penetrating hole(13a) communicated to the outside; a compression chamber(21) accommodated within the casing, and which forms a fluid compression space(S) and has a fluid inlet path(24) formed to correspond to the penetrating hole; a first connection pipe(26) having an end connected to the outlet side of an accumulator(41) and the other end with a diameter expansion section(27) formed in the radial direction of the first connection pipe; and a second connection pipe(29) having an end inserted into the diameter expansion section of the first connection pipe and the other end inserted into the fluid inlet path through the penetrating hole. The second connection pipe includes a tapered section(30a) for decreasing the outer diameter of the second connection pipe as it goes toward an end of the second connection pipe, an insertion section(30b) to be inserted into the diameter expansion section of the first connection pipe, and a rib(31) formed between the tapered section and the insertion section in such a manner that the rib is protruded in the radial direction of the second connection pipe and extended in the circumferential direction of the pipe.
