PURPOSE: A valve and a method for controlling fuel for flow amount control of fuel required idle driving in a diesel car are provided to reduce fuel amount by controlling a flow amount of fuel by exactly calculating rotational frequency of an engine during an idle operation in a diesel car. CONSTITUTION: A valve for controlling fuel for flow amount control of fuel required idle driving in the diesel car includes a control lever(3), a linear solenoid idle adjusting element(6) and a maximum speed control screw(2). The control lever is rotated on a central fixing point and connected to an acceleration cable. The linear solenoid idle adjusting element increases or decreases fuel according to load requiring idle by laterally changing a length at an upper end of the valve. The maximum speed control screw fixes fuel, injected at the time of the maximum speed, to a lower end. And a method includes the steps of sensing various loads required for fuel control, comparing and determining throttle position sensor value sensed in the above step with idle determining opening value and returning to the first step if it is not idle driving, comparing and determining throttle position sensor value sensed in the second step with idle determining opening value and comparing engine target rotational frequency with the current engine rotational frequency if it is idle driving, returning to the first step if engine target rotational frequency and the current engine rotational frequency are equal, increasing the fuel amount if the engine target rotational frequency is larger than the current engine rotational frequency, reducing the fuel amount if the engine target rotational frequency is smaller than the current engine rotational frequency, and returning to the first step and repeating the above steps.
