PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vacuum cleaner, with which a dedicated dust collection bag is unnecessitated and any bag can be used as a dust collection bag. SOLUTION: This electric vacuum cleaner is provided with an air blower chamber 15 with a stored motor-driven air blower 30, a sucking port 13, an outlet port 18a for discharging exhaust air and a suction opening 51 and provided with a sucked air duct K communicated to the sucking port 13, a leak port 62 for leaking a part of exhausted air, a reflux air duct H for refluxing exhausted air by communicating the sucked air duct K and the outlet port 18a and a suction air duct S for communicating the suction air duct K and the suction opening 51, besides, a dust discharge port 42, to which a dust collection bag 5 is attached, is formed close to the joint part of the suction air duct S, reflux air duct H and suction air duct S, the air pressure of this dust discharge port 42 is set higher than atmospheric pressure, an air current sucked from the sucking port 13 is refluxed to the joint part as exhausted air, and dust (d) sucked from the suction opening 42 together with the sucked air current is collected from the dust discharge port 42 to the dust collection bag 5 by inertia force applied by the sucked air current.
