PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tool allowing an operator to fix a varix under a good visual field and to puncture a vein with a needle easily and securely under an endoscope. SOLUTION: This endoscope hood has an endoscope mounting part and a top opening. The opening part is tapered from the endoscope mounting part so that the diameter of the top opening is 12-70% of the outer diameter of the endoscope. The center of the top opening is in the same axis as the center of the exit of the forceps channel of the endoscope. The top opening has a slant at an angle from 20 to 70 degrees with the forceps channel of the endoscope.
