PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an acrylic syrup. SOLUTION: The method comprises (1) raising temperature of 10-30 wt.% of a raw material based on the total amount of the raw material containing methyl methacrylate as a main component, (2) adding a chain transfer agent at the time of reaching at a reaction temperature, (3) adding 5-40 wt.% of monomer mixture based on the total amount of the raw material together with a polymerization initiator for a selected period from 0.1 to 5 hours, (4) after the addition, adding 0-50 wt.% of the monomer mixture based on the total amount of the raw material, (5) subsequently adding 80-30 wt.% of the residual monomer mixture based on the total amount of the raw material together with the polymerization initiator for a selected period from 0.1 to 5 hours, (6) after the addition, furthermore maintaining heating for 0.01-5 hours, and (7) adding a hindered phenol-based polymerization inhibitor at the time when the heating is finished.
