PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic wall surface traveling device capable of climbing over a high difference in level on a traveling wall surface with an easy operation. SOLUTION: This magnetic wall surface traveling device to be moved on a magnetic wall surface 170 comprises a regular tetrahedron-like tetra pot type car body 10, a pair of drive wheels 110a and 110b arranged on two apexes of the triangular bottom part of the body 10, a pair of wheels 14a and 14b arranged on the remaining apex of the triangular bottom part of the body 10 and switchable between driven following and one-way drive, and a wall surface attractive magnetic force unit 150 arranged in the center part of the body 10 to attract the body 10 to the magnetic wall surface 170. The wall surface attractive magnetic force unit 150 is installed so as to be capable of making contact with and separating from the magnetic wall surface 170, and auxiliary wall surface attractive magnetic force units 250a, 250b, and 250c for attracting the body 10 to the magnetic wall surface 170 are arranged among the three apexes of the triangular bottom part of the body 10, respectively, so as to be capable of making contact with and separating from the magnetic wall surface 170.
