PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food container having an anti-fouling performance. SOLUTION: Moisture adjusting material is stored in a container. The moisture adjusting material is formed of a protection layer at the surface of its main body. In addition, in order to form the protection layer after keeping a high moisture adjusting performance, at least one of the conditions, i.e. (1) that a rate occupied by the protection layer is 90% or less at a contact surface of the main body of the moisture adjusting material in a space of which moisture is adjusted and (2) that the maximum thickness of the protection layer is 300μm or less is satisfied to control either an area of the protection layer or a thickness of the protection layer.
